Essence of Christmas

As typical little children do, I would dream on Christmas mourn with all those gifts and toys I knew, I’d find. But as the years go by, I came to realize that Christmas is not merely about material things and I came to ponder that the greatest gift of all is that baby-born one blessed night- Jesus Christ.

We are the reason that He gave His life. We are the reason behind His suffering and death. He gave all He could give to show us the reason to live. How great is He!

Christmas is about His glory. Christmas is about His grace. It is the season which reminds us that God is with us.

Give love everyday! Let’s whole-heartedly share our blessings to our fellow. Merry Christmas! Stay blessed, children of God.

Climate Change

Are You Truly Ready? Then Act Now!

Are you ready? This has been an all-too-familiar question we are often asked to ascertain our degree of readiness and preparedness in anything. The question sometimes finds us staggered and dumbfounded because we are simply not ready even with the question itself.

Being ready is not just about waiting for a disaster to happen and deal with it as it happens. One very important aspect of preparedness which we must often forget is being able to do something to stop these things from worsening.

Who could be ready during this era of consequence? And, as we face the changing climate and its pernicious effects on our lives, when can we say we are ready? Certainly, knowing what we should be ready for is an advantage we have over the other creations. In addition, it is the beginning of our salvation from human extinction.

The climate is changing and the clock is ticking. Rich or poor, young or old, we are all susceptible to the life- threatening effects of climate change. No one will be spared. No one is exempted. Let us do something. Let us not wait for tragedies to happen before we act. Let us prepare now! Let us make a commitment- to achieve a balanced ecology for the present and future generations.

Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy and English Proficiency

ENGLISH: A COMPETITIVE LANGUAGE

English is the universal language, it is widely used. English proficiency, the ability to speak, read and write in English, is significant. With this, we can have fun relating to diverse people anywhere, anytime. Now, would you dare to be an English proficient?

While we use English, we will realize how our gift of knowledge does wonder. We will be able to express our thoughts, ideas and feelings freely and clearly. We will develop self-confidence necessary in interacting with people around us. And as we deal and communicate with them, we will be able to practice the proper communication skills and values. These skills and values will make us not only a responsible and reproductive individuals but also a globally competitive Filipino for times and places.

How can someone be an English proficient? To be considered truly proficient, one should have advanced abilities in all the areas of communication. This means that the learners must not only be linguistically competent, having the knowledge of linguistic and related communicative conventions that speakers must have to create and sustain conversational cooperation.

So use English language wisely and conformingly. J

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Equal rights, equal opportunities. I do believe that this has been an all-too-dream we are often longing.

There is a powerful being who created us. And, I strongly believe that in His eyes and heart, equality must exist among His masterpiece- the people.

Equality does not imply that all men are exactly the same. Not all men, for example, can be good musicians and architect. But with equality, all men will have an equal opportunity to nurture their individual talents. We can’t all have the bountiful riches. We can’t all have stunning looks. But, we all have the right and opportunity to live our own lives to the fullest.

We all have equal rights; consequently, we all have equal opportunities. Equality must conquer the Earth in order for us to attain unity, peace and the like.

My Teacher my Hero

I Salute You All!!

“Teachers open windows to the world for their students by giving them the tools and desire to discover their fellow humans. It is through this discovery that we learn one of the most important lessons in life- we have more in common than we have differences”

Teaching is the noblest profession. Everyone has been inspired by a great teacher. Exceptional teachers open our eyes to the world and provide us with the knowledge necessary to succeed. They let us conquer our dreams in life and letting us to learn by our own ways.

Teachers don’t only teach theories to us but they are also sources of moral teachings. Inside and outside the campus, they are our models. In relation to health and wellness, they are expected to contribute and give a good state of both mental and physical health. Another, our teachers are also the treasures in our society because while they are teaching, they are letting us discover what’s inside that treasure- the knowledge.

Teachers have helped us a lot in the contribution of our success and in the development of ourselves in turning us to be better individuals. I’ll surely cherish them and will always be treasured in my heart. I salute them because without teachers, there will be no Nurses, Engineers, Pilots, Accountants and many more.

REFLECTION (2nd Grading)

A Quarter To Remember

Time moves rapidly. Second quarter was almost done and third quarter is fast approaching. Would you dare to have a flashback with me on the noteworthy moments during this quarter? Well listen attentively or should I say, read carefully because I’ll turn your sense organs upside down.

Oh yes! This quarter really made me a hardworking student. Perpetually, we have done lots of activities during our ICT classes and these challenge me to improve my low grade. You know, I felt it as very easy because we only use the Notepad to edit and type text for html. With this hectic school-work, I have come up that I will not get my grades high if I’m lazy and unwary. So I must continue myself to become industrious and do it hardworking. For this type, I have pondered to become more responsible and do my activities in a proper and orderly manner. Furthermore, because of God’s will he made a way for us to learn things and developed ourselves how to become better human beings.

I guess, this can only be my reflection and this is now the right time to exert my efforts and bid goodbye on this quarter memories. I’ll cherish these always. In relation to this, I am looking forward for a more fortunate quarter to come.

IMMUNATION: ARMING SCIENCE CLUBBERS WITH HEALTHFUL DEFENSES TOWARDS NATIONAL WELLNESS

CHOOSE TO BE FINE!!

Mandated by Presidential Proclamation 264, the National Science Club Month [NSCM] is celebrated every September. It is a month long celebration, wherein PSYSC offers a whole month packed with science related activities such as: National Science Club Summit (SUMMIT), I Teach Science Seminar (ITSS), Mathematics, Science at Kapaligiran (MATHSCIAKA) and PSYSC Science Olympiad (PSO)

“Health is Wealth,”-this is famous to us right? So what do you prefer, your health or your wealth.

Without so much ado, I am telling that wealth can wait and health will never and ever be. If they were asking you to choose between health and wealth, don’t be foolish to choose health because once that is lost, it can never return back.

Our life together with our health was considered as one of the precious gifts God given to us. It only signifies that God really loves us and He has care for us. So we must not dismay Him instead help Him to control the people who are destroying the nature and to those who are not fund of and not contented to their selves.

Good Health is what we need in our daily lives. Simply, it helps us in order to perform daily tasks quickly and easily. Another, in order to live with our love one’s and does things which are incredible. Why do we need to enjoy life? We need to enjoy life now because this is the purpose why God created us and He wanted us to live peacefully and blissfully. But the question is how can we help ourselves in order to have a Good Health? Through the use of our minds and with the help of our knowledge, we can build a better future and a brighter tomorrow. We must adequate enough to have a proper hygiene like cleaning our body neatly and responsibly. Consequently, it is one of the reasons wherein parasites can live and can reproduce. Another, it helps their population to grow rapidly. In these cases, we must be awakened and start thinking an action for the benefit of our fellowmen. For the meantime, health consciousness is what the government wanted us to learn and always bear in minds. Because all they wanted is for us to be safe and far from danger.

In life we must not lose our hopes from problems. They came into our lives to test if we can and we can survive. So there’s nothing to worry about our health. Health is Wealth so we must love, take care of it and choose to be fine!

Intramurals

STAND TRIUMPHANTLY AND COMFILY

Last month, Intramurals was held. It was concluded on the 18th to 20th day of September. During intramurals many different games are in need to play, the traditional sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, sepak takraw and to less mainstream like field hockey and dodge ball.

There are 3 ways to participate in Intramural Sports. First, join a team. Teams are formed through common bonds or associations within the community such as friends, classmates, residence halls, and campus organizations. Second, play an individual or dual sport. It offers just for partners and one’s self. This was for golf, racquetball, table tennis and billiards. Lastly, sign up as a free agent. Participants who do not have a team can sign up on the free agent list and can be selected by captains of other teams.

Life is being compared to a game. Won some. Lose some. Games are fun, recreational, social and competitive on campus sports activities. These are designed with the everyday athlete, just like you in mind. This is a great opportunity for us to have some fun and to try that new sport we’ve always wanted to learn!

My Greatest Hero

HERO… HERO… HERO…
By: Basilio Azada Jr.

A hero was a mortal who had done something so far beyond the normal scope of human experience that left an immortal memory behind his living and thus, received worship like the Gods.

Today it is much harder to detach the concept of heroism from morality. We only call heroes those whom we admire and wish to emulate. However, we must put in minds that heroes haven’t superpowers but nevertheless they had contributed a lot and helped us for the improvement of our lives.

I consider my parents as heroes specifically my father. My father is a type of man who is shy and very humble. He is a man with dignity. He is also kind, generous and of course he’s a perfect man. As the head of our family, he is really doing his responsibilities taking at risk. He is the best man we could ever have and he deserves to be recognized like a hero as well.

Right from my growing years, they have filled my soul with joy and dedication. I am very thankful because they became as my parents. I am a child who is really proud of and I really don’t know how I will payback all their love and supports. Only thing I knew was to study harder and fulfill my dreams in life so that when has come, they will be proud of me and I will be able to help them also.

When I was still a child, I almost considered them as heroes though they do not have superpowers but simply, they really have the true characteristics of a HERO.

WIKA NATIN ‘TO

WIKA NATIN ‘TO

MY REFLECTION

GOODBYE, FIRST QUARTER! HEY, SECOND QUARTER!

Time moves rapidly. First quarter was almost done and second quarter is fast approaching. Would you dare to have a flashback with me on the noteworthy moments during the first quarter? Well listen attentively or should I say, read carefully because I’ll turn your sense organs upside down.

Oh yes! This quarter really made me feel/seem weary. Perpetually, we are out during our ICT classes because of the Nutri-Jingle Contest in celebration of the Nutrition Month and so with the different activities. You know, it was not that easy to cope up with our missed lessons. With this hectic school-work, I had developed and ponder to become more responsible and on how to manage time wisely. Furthermore, because of God’s will he made a way for us to learn things and developed ourselves how to become better human beings.

I guess, this can only be my reflection and this is now the right time to exert my efforts and bid goodbye on my first quarter memories but surely, I’ll cherish these always. In relation to this, I am looking forward for a more fortunate quarter to come. Goodbye, First Quarter! Hey, Second Quarter!

STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS (SONA) 2014

ONE GREAT RULER....

Pres. Aquino delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address last July 28, 2014. The SONA has started at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon and has concluded after one hour and thirty minutes.

SONA 2014 highlights the achievements of the government on education, social services, economy improvement, infrastructure, calamity efforts, jobs, rehabilitation after typhoons and earthquake, modernization of AFP, security, ARMM Bangsamoro and livelihood.

Pres. Aquino became emotional after his SONA. According to Dr. Clarita Carlos, pioneer of Political psychology in the country, PNoy had scored sympathy from Filipinos and added PNoy’s emotion was really because of the genuine following the filed impeachment of his former allies. So she concluded, he was hurt, terribly hurt

Base from my observation to the administration of Pres. Aquino, it was perfect and I do not have doubt that he became our president. Even if I cannot totally see the outcomes of his projects, I still believe him. And I do hope that the money he used for the improvement of our country came from his own packet and not on the money of our government.

I congratulate him for being a great leader because he had developed and improved our country and turn it into a progressive one. He had also finished his responsibilities with accomplishments and because of his love for us he did all and gave his all. Good Luck and God Bless sir!
